Lorissa - “We met each other online. I messaged Dakota first, and after two years of talking we finally met in person in Dakota’s home town.”

When did you know he/she was the one? Was there something he/she did?, etc.

Lorissa - “I first knew Dakota was the one when I first looked at his profile and saw he was a "country" boy.”

Dakota- “I first knew Lorissa was the one when on our first date I put the truck in the ditch messing around and she just laughed.”

Tell us about the proposal. (Did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning?, how did you feel? nervous, excited, freaking out?)

Lorissa- “I knew it was coming. We had been talking about it, but Dakota always said "not yet". When it actually did happen, I was in complete shock when he asked me. I bursted into tears of happiness.”

Dakota- “For me, it was one of the most nerve wracking things I've done.”

Tell us the one thing you love most about each other.

Lorissa - “The thing I love most about Dakota is how sweet and understanding he is. He is always there to pick me up when I need it the most.”

Dakota - “The thing I love most about Lorissa is that she is understanding of me constantly working and running place to place.”

Lorissa - “One quirky thing Dakota does is when working on anything he always has his tongue sticking out and touching his nose.”

Dakota - “One silly thing Lorissa does is she uses different voices when she talks. For example when she is talking to the dogs, she will use a baby voice.”

Besides getting married - whats the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day?

“We both look forward to spending the entire day with each other and our friends and family.”

Explain why you made the decision to work with Lora & Isaac?

Dakota - “I saw the equipment in their car when I was doing an oil change and asked around about them. And I have seen their previous work and decided to go with them.”

Heather - “We first meet when we started our freshman year at Winona State in August 2010 on freshman move in day. We both did not know anything about the dorm we were moving into, only that we had no roommate (not by my choice..I had a slight panic attack - afraid I would not make any friends). When getting to the dorm and checking in, I was told I was living on the only co-ed floor of the dorm. You can only imagine what my father was thinking. When moving into my room, I was on top of my loft making the bed and looked across the hall and saw across the hall that the neighbor’s door was open. I also noticed the rugby ball sitting on top of the loft. I jokingly said to my mom, "Look mom its meant to be" and then I saw him!!! Brandon walked out of his room (the room directly across that hall from mine). I mustered up enough courage and walked out into the hall and tapped Brandon on the shoulder and asked if he played rugby.”

When did you know he/she was the one? Was there something he/she did?, etc.

Brandon - “Heather has been one of my best friends for over nine years. We met on our first day of college. I didn't know it then, nor did I know it four years later. But when I finally got to live with her after our final summer apart it started to become clear. I had something I could not let go.”

Heather - “No idea, I just knew.”

Tell us about the proposal. (Did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning?, how did you feel? nervous, excited, freaking out?)

Heather - “He took me out for a 7 year anniversary dinner (also Valentine's Day) to the tallest building in Oklahoma (the Devon Tower). At the top of the tower is a very fancy restaurant called Vast. I gave Brandon a card at the beginning of dinner and wrote a bunch of sappy love stuff but the biggest thing I wrote in it was, "I was trying to find the perfect way to sum up our 7 year relationship, but could not". Brandon waited until the end of dinner and brought up that part of the card..."I think I found a way to sum those 7 years, with these little 7 words.... Heather Mae Kohl, will you Marry Me? Brandon got down on one knee and proposed.”

Tell us the one thing you love most about each other.

Brandon - “I love how no matter what Heather is always there for me, telling me to shoot for the stars and that nothing can stop me. She truly is one of the most selfless people I know.”

Heather - “His compassion and drive.”

Danielle - “The very first time Jon and I met was at the Waltham Bar. We were introduced. Five months later, I had a friend tell me that I should date Jon. So she started texting him and asking if he wanted to go on a date with a teacher. The next day our friend called me and told me Jon's number so I could text him. I wasn't about to do that. I waited him out. He texted a while later, we then hung out later that night at another friend’s house. The next day I didn't hear from Jon until the evening. He called me and we talked on the phone for 5 hours! I have seen or talked to Jon every day since then!!!”

When did you know he/she was the one? Was there something he/she did?, etc.

“I knew Jon was the one by our fourth date. We were ice skating and he never let go of my hand. It was a magical experience. We really had a fabulous time!!! I knew Jon was the one because he loved my awkwardness. And that we could be ourselves and still manage to have a great time. I mean, I asked him what his favorite bird was!!!”

Tell us about the proposal. (Did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning?, how did you feel? nervous, excited, freaking out?)

Jon - “I bought the ring two weeks prior to the proposal. The plan was to propose two weeks later than I did. But after I bought the ring, I got so excited I couldn't wait! I wanted to propose at Minniehaha Falls in Minneapolis. It was in the dead of winter, cold and icy. To throw her off of what I had planned, I set up a whole day of activities of playing laser tag and seeing a good friend.”

Tell us the one thing you love most about each other.

Danielle - “Jon is the most thoughtful person. He is always thinking about how things would make me feel.”

Jon - “I love that Danielle can always be herself and not care what others think.”

Besides getting married - whats the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day?

Jon - “Getting to see Danielle in her dress for the first time!”

Danielle - “I was excited to say I do to the man of my dreams in front of my friends and family!”

“Lora and Isaac have been absolutely amazing to work with. They are easy going, flexible and worked with our budget! Lora and Isaac took time to get to know us! We cannot thank them enough for all they have done! Thank you!!!”

“We first met in the lobby of Hansen Hall at South Dakota State University. I would heckle him and his buddies as they would walk through. We got to know each other better after chatting at our mutual friend Jerome’s Birthday Party.”

When did you know he/she was the one? Was there something he/she did?, etc.

“It kind of just happened. One day I just knew that life would be better with him than without.”

Tell us about the proposal. (Did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning?, how did you feel? nervous, excited, freaking out?)

“Tom was planning the proposal for a few months. It started out that he wanted to take me on a horse ride then pop the question, but after riding the horses for a bit it was clear that they weren’t going to behave that day. Then he suggested a four wheeler ride. The door was iced shut so he chipped at the door trying to get it open for at least 30 min. I questioned him on if a four wheeler ride was really that important and he insisted that it was. I had just gotten my laser eye surgery a week prior and it was freezing out so I was wearing the biggest sunglasses and coat I could find. I also had the hood cinched so tight you could only see my nose! We went for a four wheeler ride in his parents pasture, when I got cold and asked him to stop for a minute so I could readjust. He got off the four wheeler and started looking under it and at the wheels. I had thought one of the tires looked low, so I figured that was what he was looking at. Then I noticed his head up by the hot muffler and kinda yelled at him because I thought he was going to burn his face. Then I went back to getting my gloves on and he said “ Hey Nicole” I looked, and he asked me to marry him! I was in shock! I really thought I would know when he was going to propose, but he completely surprised me!”

Tell us the one thing you love most about each other.

“I love that Tom supports my most crazy ideas and talks me down from the really crazy ones! Tom’s favorite thing about me is my cooking! Especially apple crisp!”

“There is more quirky in this household than normal and that’s how we like it!”

“The food - I cannot wait to eat our wedding meal!!”

“I wanted to work with as many local and small businesses as possible. I went to school with Lora and we were in the same 4-H club. Plus, she takes amazing photos. It was the easiest decision of the entire planning process!”

Kelsey - “We became close friends in Yearbook class in high school. Once I started working at Fareway with Kyle, our relationship started. Our co-workers kept telling us we should go on a date, so we did!”Kyle - “We were friends for the longest time and we worked together. People at Fareway said we should go on a date and I was all for it, but Kelsey thought it was a little weird. We went for it and the rest is history!”

When did you know he/she was the one? Was there something he/she did?, etc.

Kelsey - “There was no specific moment that I knew he was the one. As our relationship grew and we spent more time with each other, I couldn't picture life without him or with anyone else. We have faced a lot of challenges in our relationship that have only made us stronger.”

Kyle - “That moment when I make a stupid joke and she laughs or throws another joke just as corny back in my face. I knew she was the woman I needed to spend my life with. Plus all the little things such as her smile, eyes, laugh, and just the way she makes me feel complete and how I can act my self around her.”

Tell us about the proposal. (Did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning?, how did you feel? nervous, excited, freaking out?)

Kelsey - “I had been waiting and waiting for it, but it was a surprise when it finally happened. We were getting ready to go shopping for my birthday and right before we were about to leave, Kyle asked me if I wanted my birthday present. Of course I said yes. He gave me a letter and I read it out loud, along with pointing out all of his typos (oops!) At the end, he told me to turn around to see my present, which was him down on one knee with a ring in his hand asking me to marry him. It was a great birthday!”

Kyle - “I had been trying to figure out how to do it. I didn't want to be like everyone else, I wanted it to be special and just us two. I wrote her this corny letter that basically said how important to me she was and how I couldn't see my life without her. The whole time she was reading the letter I was being judged about how terrible my grammar was. I had to keep saying just keep reading, just keep reading, just keep reading. (Finding Nemo) But anyways at the end she had to turn around and I was on one knee and I asked her to marry me.”

Tell us the one thing you love most about each other.

Kelsey - “I love his sense of humor and ability to always make me laugh, even on my worst day.”

Kyle - “I love the way she looks and treats my nephew and nieces. Just makes me excited for our future and how good of a mother she will be to our future kiddos!”

Besides getting married - whats the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day?

Kelsey - “I am really looking forward to carrot cake! It's the best!”

Kyle - “Getting to spend the day with you, Isaac ;)”

Explain why you made the decision to work with Lora & Isaac?

Kelsey - “I met Isaac at the bridal show in Decorah. He was super easy to talk to and was very personable. He was more than happy to answer questions and help us with anything. Once we had our engagement session and got to know each other a little better, I was so happy with the choice I made.”

Kyle - “Because Kelsey said so......and he's a Packer fan so that's a plus”
